Today, i finally got to meet the baby that i've been ever so eager to meet since more than 3 months ago. Some people might find babies a nuisance. The favourite excuses are because they find babies troublesome, noisy, and hard to handle. But i guess they never see the big picture.

Well, anyway, it was already sun down when Someone and i met up the mother and the baby (we had school stuff in the afternoon). The baby had to change diaper, but we couldn't even find a suitable space to do it. So the mother invited us to her home. Forget about the home for now. I'm more interested in the baby...

Once home, the mother changed the diaper. And after that Someone and i got to interact with him. 1st time the baby and i exchanged glances, i was rather excited. I was afraid too - afraid that i would scare him. But i clearly saw his smile. He SMILED at me!! Oh, you don't know how glad i was then!!

Since i knew he wasn't afraid of me, i became more at ease. I began to play with him. After a while, it was his feeding time. What's a baby without milk to drink? I wouldn't want to know the answer to that. Play time again after that.

You know, i don't really think it's play time. It seems to me more like he was going through some self-discovery lessons. Whenever he could, he would be staring at his own hand and moving his fingers, like he was trying to think of why his fingers could move. Or simply - what are the 5 thin long things on my hand?

The baby puked 2 times. And luckily, against Someone's wish, not once was on me. But the mom is suay loh. Her bed got wet because of cleaning up. Watched tv with the mom and baby and we went home.

Throughout the whole visit, i got to know some things about parenting. Ok, maybe not really parenting, but baby care. And i never did really know why some people hate babies.
