ALMOST 4 week since i last blogged. SomeOne and a ... new reader, Princess Dy, has been complaining, asking me if my blog has died, asking me to blog more and more. But they know, i'm just lazy. Been playing games, going out, surfing for stuff, rushing projects... But more of the 4 weeks have been spent on things other than schoolwork
lah.
Oh, i won a bet with SomeOne. Just because SomeOne was lazy to come to school.
My kind of laziness (laziness to do not-so-important stuff) would be less of seriousness than SomeOne's kind (laziness to do education-related stuff). But SomeOne would say differently.
A series of events happened over the past weeks. Good, bad, nasty, ugly, whatever more.
Indian man jumping down the MRT track; classmate getting hurt; rivalries; last minute work. It always happen (except for the suicide case which seems to be becoming a trend).
Oh yeah, i went for a friend's NS enlistment day. A really interesting 1st time experience. I had a chance to know that NS isn't as bad as i thought, before my enlsitment day (which may be just a few months away). Like the bed; i thought it would be the kind with just a thin mat and no pillows. But it turned out to be a nice soft bed with a fluffy pillow n a net to prevent those tiny blood suckers from getting onto us. And the toilet, which is rather nice, compared to the tiny and dirty kind i had in my mind. And there's the training timetable. I had the idea that there's no set timing for training. They actually showed us their timetable for training.
But some things never change. The training of course is still as tough as ever; meals are ever so nutritious; and the shaving of head is still hard and painful (which i saw in a video they showed). I would rather pay to have a nice smooth comfortable shave than have them be quick and free, and painful.
Anyway, now that i've seen what is and what's not in NS, i'm more relieved. More at ease to be in the NS. And i ALMOST went NS that day. Luckily...
